8th February, 2009 February has seen the Bucks in training for a month now, dating back to 4th January at Oakgrove School and Sports Centre in MK. It has also seen five players submit their CRB check applications to BSUK, and enroll themselves on BSUK's level 1 coaching course, held in Coventry and delivered by our BSUK coach in residence, Will Lintern. 4th January, 2009 So, Back to Bucks for this club that has wandered a little for the last year or two, travelled a few diffrrent roads to see what's out there, and finally settled back to Milton Keynes, where it all began. We started training at the beginning of January at Oakgrove School and Sports Centre, where we have seen a real increase in people interested in the sport of Baseball. Training has been rigourous, but fun, and has involved playing Basketball to improve cardio-vascular fitness, as well as several hitting training exercises, courtesy of Jarrod Pretorius and Ernie Ayala. These should see us improve our mechanics, our hand - eye co-ordination and our plate discipline. We are also looking forward to the Herts Spring League, a great idea brought to reality by Herts Baseball. We thoroughly enjoyed the early start to competitive baseball, not to mention the camaraderie a tournament such as this brings to the baseball community in the UK. For all those of you out there that have long thought about giving baseball a shot, come and join us on any given Sunday, 3 pm till 5 at Oakgrove.

Training continues to go well, with good attendence by both old and new players...new drills are being practiced each week, and the team continues to improve. Looking forward to Herts Spring League!!
